Actuarial Services Officer

Universal Life is seeking to recruit an Actuarial Services Officer to join the Actuarial team, at the Company’s Head Offices in Nicosia.  The successful candidate will report to the Actuarial Services Manager and Chief Risk Officer.

Main responsibilities

  • Calculation of reserves
  • Solvency calculations
  • Embedded value calculations
  • Profitability calculations
  • Regulatory reporting
  • Any other related duties assigned by the Department’s Management

Skills & Qualifications

  • University degree in Actuarial Science or in another related field in conjunction with progress in actuarial exams from a recognised Actuarial Association
  • At least 3 years of work experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of accounting standard IFRS17 and the Solvency II regulatory requirements, will be considered a significant advantage
  • Knowledge of the Prophet actuarial system and VBA knowledge will be considered an advantage
  • Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both verbal and written
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Analytical & organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Initiative and ability to work independently
  • Team player mindset
