The Executive Council of CAA is pleased to invite all Members to the half-day Professionalism Course which will take place on 14th February 2018 and which is co-organised with the Institute of Actuaries, UK. We will be honoured to have with us Ms Helen Gregson, an experienced actuary and currently Education Actuary of the Institute of Actuary’s who will run most of the course. The course is free of charge for all members of CAA and will take place at MIF’s Conference Room, 23 Zinonos Sozou Street, Nicosia. The Course qualifies for the professionalism CPD requirements of both the CAA and IoA.

8:50 – 9:00 Introduction
9:00 – 9:45 Conduct requirements (includes Actuaries Code and quiz)
9:45 – 10:45 Part 1 - Current professional dilemmas through discussion of case studies
10:45 – 11:15 Coffee break
11:15 – 12:15 Part 2 - Current professional dilemmas through discussion of case studies
12:15 – 12:45 Current challenges for the practitioner in Cyprus – Open discussion
12:45 – 13:15 Q&A Session
13:15 – 14:15 Lunch
The Council would like to invite a volunteer guest speaker, Fellow Member of CAA, to cover how regulations apply in Cyprus in the ‘Conduct requirements’ session and make an introduction for discussion in the ‘Current challenges for the practitioner in Cyprus’. Please also note that Members who will not have settled their membership fees by the date of the Course will not be admitted.
